NAIA POYER (they/them/their pronouns), originally from Virginia's Eastern Shore, currently resides in Boston and works at Harvard University. They hold a Master of Theological Studies degree in East Asian Religions from Harvard Divinity School.
They have previously held design jobs at Macmillan Publishers, Xenophon Press, and Northampton House Press, They continue to work as a freelance designer for Macmillan Audio and Northampton House Press, and independently as a graphic artist and cover designer. They have created covers and interiors for most every genre of book, from historical fiction to horror to middle grade to equestrian medical and training texts. Additionally, they offer professional line editing for manuscripts.
Naia Poyer is also an oil painter with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art from Swarthmore University.
They have published two short stories, and co-written and acted in several theater productions with [Redacted] Theater Company in Philadelphia. They thrive on connection to the worlds of both fine art and design, and cross-pollination between the two.
